Ovarian cancer is leading cancer affecting young females Usually it is diagnosed in later stages as symptoms are vague like gas trouble, fullness of abdomen, acidity, frequency of urination constipation High level of clinical suspicion is of prime importance Patient with these symptoms are advised sonography of abdomen . Suspicious masses need CT scan and blood test called S.Ca125 and HE4 Any ovarian lesion which is solid and cystic n enhanced on scan requires removal n on table checking with special test called frozen section Laparoscopy is contraindicated in ovarian cancer due to fear of spread Treatment is surgery and many times chemotherapy OPTIMAL surgery is the most significant factor in ovarian cancer cure.
